Global Education Academy (GEA) is an elite private high school, fully accredited by the Education Ministry of Ontario (BSID #883977).

 GEA is accredited to award the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) and provides university preparation courses. The OSSD is widely accepted by global universities as an official requirement for entry.

Ontario Secondary School Requirements

 

What do you need to graduate?

  1. 18 compulsory credits and 12 optional credits
  2. 110 hours for each credit course
  3. 40 Hours of community involvement (Volunteer opportunities available through GEA)
  4. Must pass Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test (OSSLT) or take Ontario Secondary School Literacy Course (OSSLC)

 

You can transfer some or all of the credits you have earned in your home country:

Grade 9: One must earn all 30 credits at GEA

Grade 10: 8 credits may be transferred. One must earn at least 22 credits at GEA.

Grade 11: 16 credits may be transferred. One must earn at least 14 credits at GEA.

Grade 12: 23 credits may be transferred. One must earn at least 7 credits at GEA.

The University of Toronto offers this $1000 scholarship to first year students who excel at English as a Second Language. The first ten winners are nominated by GEA.
